Sequels are rarely as good as the original. With few exceptions (most notably Home Alone, the Mighty Ducks, and the Godfather), the second time around just isn’t as impressive as the first time. But that’s NOT how we feel about our second straight year being recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Fort Worth. We’re as proud as Hans was when Fulton finally learned how to stop skating at full speed – meaning, we’re glowing.
So while we’d like to thank the Academy for this prestigious award (kidding, it’s Fort Worth Magazine), it’s really our people that got us here. Seriously, employees genuinely vote for this award. They send anonymous surveys to your team that the company isn’t allowed to even touch – it’s very cloak and dagger-type stuff. But they survey your team on over 100 questions about the culture, diversity, inclusion, vision, communication, and even how strong your toilet paper is (admittedly, we can do better here).
We’re excited to get the results back not just to see if we won, but because it’s an incredibly honest look in the mirror at how we’re doing as a company. Faults and all, these survey results dictate a lot of initiatives, benefits, and fundamentally how we work together as a team for the next year. So we’re grateful for the hardware, but even more glad that we’re on this ride with the Loftwall team.
